As I take on this role, I am honoured to continue the legacy of IAP TNSC, built by visionary leaders dedicated to child health. Now, it is our turn to move forward with renewed energy and bold initiatives.
Vision 2025: Beyond Boundaries
Our goal is to expand pediatric care beyond hospitals, textbooks, and limitations. Through rural outreach, school health programs, and digital healthcare solutions, we will ensure quality care reaches every child.
Empowering Parents, Empowering Futures
Children today face unique challenges from digital media, societal pressures, and shifting family dynamics. Parental awareness programs, mental health initiatives, and adolescent guidance workshops will equip parents to support their children better.

Welcome to the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Tamil Nadu
Warm Greetings to Our Members
Vanakkam! It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Tamil Nadu Chapter. As dedicated members of the paediatric community, your commitment to advancing child health and welfare inspires us every day.
This is the golden jubilee year of IAP TNSC. Hence it will be a great landmark event for us and hope to make this event memorable.
This platform aims to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth among paediatricians across Tamil Nadu. Here, you will find the latest updates, educational resources, and opportunities to participate in conferences, workshops, and outreach activities.
Under the Presidential action plan this year, we have several plans that will aim to cover Pediatricians, students, people working in Institutions and also for the public. The same will be updated in our website.
For practising Pediatricians we have
Nacchunu Naalu point 2.0
Crisp practical oriented points on select topics which are of practical use to practising Pediatricians across the state and contributed by Academicians across the nation.
IAP sub speciality chapters
We have around 11 subspecialty chapter in Tamilnadu, 8 started last year and 3 previous years. Every month last Sunday we will be conducting CMEs along with speciality chapters which will give a learning experience to all.
For postgraduates we will be having e-learning through postgraduate Gurukulam and through intensive teaching programs.
For community we are going to have videos for community awareness.
After Covid we have really lost the essence of having direct programs which will enable us to interact with academicians with vast experience. This year we will definitely enable to do have maximum programs like Golden update module for the Pediatricians in tier 2 and 3 cities
We will also be actively involving in CIAP modules.
The interesting part is that all the updates will be shared with you through our dynamic website.
We have two major conferences coming up
1. The state conference which happens to be the Golden jubilee conference of IAP Tamilnadu
2. The National conference of CIAP which for the first time will be conducted for first time after 21 years in Tamilnadu in Coimbatore
Together, let us strive to uphold the highest standards of paediatric care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our state.
Our vibrant President Dr. Somasundaram, the ever energetic President 2025, Dr. Rajendran, the meticulous President elect Dr. Tirumourougane, the treasurer Dr. Rajkumar and our most dedicated executive board and Central EB members will sure take the year activities to the next level.
I am also greatly thrilled and excited to be a part of this team and to serve as the secretary of this esteemed Academy. I really than you all for the opportunity and having placed trust in me.
We encourage you to explore, engage, and contribute actively to our thriving community. Your expertise and enthusiasm are invaluable as we work collectively towards a healthier tomorrow for every child.

Treasurer's Message
Respected Seniors and Dear friends
It is a privilege and honour to serve as the Treasurer of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Tamil Nadu State Branch. I sincerely thank all our members for the trust and confidence reposed in me.
IAP Tamil Nadu has always stood for academic excellence, ethical pediatric practice, and service to the child and the community. As Treasurer, my foremost responsibility is to ensure transparent, accountable, and efficient financial management that supports our academic programs, conferences, training activities, and outreach initiatives across the state.
I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and prudence, while facilitating timely support for activities that strengthen our fraternity and benefit pediatricians at all levels—from postgraduates to senior practitioners. Sound financial planning is essential to sustain our vision, and I shall work closely with the President, office bearers, and Executive Committee to achieve this goal.
I look forward to the continued cooperation, guidance, and constructive feedback from all members. Together, let us work towards a vibrant, academically strong, and socially responsible IAP Tamil Nadu.
